Today we are thrilled to announce a new version of Webix.

Webix 1.6 runs properly on Windows 8 touch devices and supports drag-and-drop operations on all kinds of touch devices. Version 1.6 also brings several UI improvements and enhancements in server-side integration.

Windows 8

After improving the work of the library on iOS and Android mobile devices we’ve passed on to enhancement of Webix support for Windows 8 touch devices.

Now you can develop web apps that support Windows 8 touch devices and show high performance.

One of the main Webix features is the ability to run correctly on both desktop and mobile devices. So it means that you can develop one web app which supports multiple platforms.

We are constantly improving the above functionality. Thanks to the efforts of our professional team, starting from version 1.5, Webix mobile web apps look and perform on touch devices even better. New Data Selection Controls

With Webix 1.4, you can enhance the functionality of your HTML select controls.

Data-suggest allows you to use rich media as select options. You can use images or any other complex html content as select options and in the select itself.

We are proud to inform you about the release of Webix 1.2 with exciting enhancements and important additions. Version 1.2 adds integration with AngularJS, improves Backbone.js integration, fixes lots of bugs (more than 50!!!) and introduces a few nice API enhancements.

We are happy to announce the release of new Webix 1.1. This update results in improving server-side integration, fixing the detected bugs and enhancing performance of the Webix UI components.

UI Improvements

The ability to disable any view was added. It is an expected functionality for form controls, but it can be used with all other Webix’s views as well. For example, you can disable a part of layout, text input or datable.
