We are looking for developers, project managers, teamleads, technical writers, startups founders or just talented authors to contribute their experience and useful tips to our blog. Just as you appreciate your favorite food blogger (who, by the way, may be a builder, an accountant, or a marketer by background) for his or her wonderful recipes, we value our guest writers for the expertise and experience they are willing to share with the world, not for their profession.
Our blog and audience are eager for:
- real cases in web development,
- thoughts and opinions about the future of technology and JS,
- technical how-to articles,
- reviews of JavaScript libraries and frameworks.
If you have a ready article or it is still at the idea stage, feel free to contact us. We’ll tell you how relevant the topic is to our audience, help with revision or suggest a list of topics that will go straight to the heart of techies around the world. Writing about JavaScript development, keeping things simple and easy to understand, is our mission, and we’re excited to invite you into the process.
Why guest posting on Webix blog is worth it
Want to get noticed and published? An article in our software and web development blog is a great way to show your expertise. Here are a few reasons why it’s a sound idea to write for us.
Boost your personal brand
Get published. Get noticed. We publish materials that are read by developers, CTOs and PMs, who may become your business partners sooner than you think.
Get your voice heard
People love to read stories of failures that lead to success. If you’ve ever experienced setbacks in your professional journey and learned from them, our blog is the perfect place to pour out your soul and share your bitter but valuable experience.
No intrusive ads between readers and your text
You know those blogs where everywhere you look there are ads? Where every scroll can throw a new pop-up on top of the text you’re trying to read. Webix blog is the opposite of such portals, it is a cozy place for readers and authors who appreciate each other.
Get a quality backlink
Want to boost your website’s SEO or get a link to your project? We’d be lying if we said we don’t allow links. We do. But there are some ground rules: we allow relevant links within the article and author bio. For details, please check the Submission Guidelines section below.
If at least one point resonated with you, or you found yourself nodding while reading, it’s probably time to move on to the publication guidelines.
Submission guidelines for guest post authors
The number-one rule is: our blog, our guidelines. Stick to them and the publication of your article won’t take long.
General requirements
- We only accept original articles with no co-authors, write in first person, tell your readers a story.
- We also check texts for plagiarism, make sure your article’s originality is 95% or higher.
- The length of the text is also an important factor, make sure your article is at least 850 words long.
- The article should be relevant to our blog topics — JS trends and tips, web development, software development, project management, UI/UX, web technologies and tools. If you doubt that your piece of writing suits our regular coverage, contact us beforehand, and we will send you the list of relevant topics.
Structure & content quality
- Take care of the logical structure: start with an introduction encouraging users to read the article to the end, several consistent paragraphs with well-developed main ideas, and a conclusion with key takeaways.
- Add visual content to make your text more readable and helpful: tables, diagrams, charts, maps or infographics.
- If you include any research results, data or statistics, be sure they come from reputable sources and proper attribution (links) is provided.
Links policy
All hyperlinks should be related to the topic of the article and provide additional value to the reader. Please avoid irrelevant promotional, affiliate or referral links, links that lead to gated content (e.g., requiring sign-up to access).
Guest author info
Please attach an author bio section with your photo to the article, so that we can add this information to the author block below the article.
🚫 What we don’t accept
- AI-generated content
- Articles that have been published before elsewhere
- Blatantly promotional content
- Articles that don’t meet our guidelines
Please note that we reserve the right to make edits before publication regarding style, structure or formatting and to refuse the publication, if your article doesn’t meet the guidelines.
