I do not know how it is in your location, but in Webix motherland it is the coldest spring ever. Yet it really motivates to work hard and stay productive to deliver new features to our customers. Today we are glad to present a new complex widget, Webix Diagram, as well as new timeline and day units views for Scheduler, split tasks for Gantt and usability improvement for Spreadsheet.

Webix continues finding its dedicated followers all over the world. We have an interview with Jana and Hatem today. Jana is a marketing manager and Hatem is the main developer at Old World Computing. It is a consulting company providing data science services and solutions.

Had hardly we said good-bye to snowflakes and garlands, the birdsongs herald the approach of spring. But warm news does not end here. A month ago we shared our roadmap for 2021 and today we are happy to deliver the first part of the updates – Webix 8.2. New version brings significant upgrades for Gantt, new math engine for Spreadsheet, updates for File Manager and Webix Core. So let’s dive in!

At last the winter has come. Apart from snow and Christmas vibes it brings something else to you! It’s been a while since our previous update and today we are happy to deliver Webix 8.1 including the long-awaited Report Manager, advanced Gantt updates, and solution for time zones in Scheduler. Webix 8.0 was released. Among the most important changes and updates:

In the middle of the yellow leaves season we are excited to announce the annual grand release of Webix. In version 8.0 you can find new complex widgets for planning and scheduling: Scheduler and Gantt. Also, the release includes updates for Spreadsheet, horizontal Timeline, new controls for time and color selection, dynamic tooltips and enhanced Datatable performance.

Seven year ago on July 7th, Webix was released for the first time. During these years the library grew up into the mature eco-system for building web applications and gathered a large audience of developers. To keep up with the tradition, today we are ready to present Webix 7.4 with the emphasis on complex widgets.

This year we have worked out a new concept of complex widgets and have already released the new ones: File Manager, Document Manager, Query, and User Manager. They were built from scratch as fully configurable Webix Jet app modules, which makes them flexible, powerful… and yet not very easy to master regarding the code. However once you grasp the concept, it opens great opportunities.

Let’s explore the technical features of the new widgets and learn of all the benefits of the Jet-based approach.
